PLC Splitter
Same as cable transmission system,optical network system also need
signal coupling,branching and distribution,splitters can meet these
functions.Splitter is the important device in PON transmission
system,splitters can make the input optical signal into multiple
output optical signal via splitting technology.There are two kinds
of splitting technology: fused biconical taper(FBT type) and planar
Lightwave Circuit type (PLC splitter type).In PON,all topology
splitting products are with splitters,splitter is the basic devic
for ODN topology splitting network in XPON access technology.

1. Bare fiber Type Splitter
Bare fiber Type Splitter adopts minimal encapsulation
structure,after encapsuling PLC chips in metal box directly output
the bare fiber,small and compact size,mainly used for subsequent
modular encapsulation or put in other function modules and directly
splice(for example put into splice closure)
2. Fan out Type splitter
Branching Type splitter adopts minimal encapsulation
structure,after encapsuling PLC chips in metal box directly output
the fiber, small and compact size, with bunch fiber inputs and
ribbon fiber outputs,transfter into bunch fiber outputs via
splitters.The inputs and outputs of this kind of splitter can
provide connector plugs,can use it directly,suitable for compact
size application(such as slot box and wall-mounted box)
3. Mini tube type splitter
Mini tube type splitter with compact encapsulation box,it can
realize φ0.9mm loose tube fiber multiple outputs directly without
fan out,it’s not only remain the advantage of compact structure but
also can directly outputφ0.9mm pigtails,it’s the ideal option for
small size application.
4. Module(ASB BOX) Type Splitter
Module(ASB BOX) Type Splitter adopts standard module encapsulation
box,it can realize different diameter pigtails(φ0.9mm, φ2.0mm,
φ3.0mm)output,in the meantime,PLC device encapsulate in the box.It
has the highest protection grade and less demand on placing
position and environment.Widely used in slot boxes and wall-mounted
boxes.
